Revolut Eyes Massive $65B Valuation in New Funding Push
The UK-based fintech giant Revolut is negotiating a massive new funding round to secure a historic $65 billion valuation, according to a report by the Financial Times.
A Billion-Dollar Capital Injection in the Works
The London-headquartered digital banking disruptor is in active discussions to raise approximately $1 billion. This capital injection will reportedly be structured through a combination of issuing fresh shares and selling existing equity. Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm Greenoaks is currently poised to lead the investment round, though negotiations remain ongoing and final terms are subject to change.
Explosive Growth and Surging Profitability
This aggressive valuation push follows a period of stellar financial performance for the neobank. Financial data revealed earlier this year highlighted a staggering 72% year-over-year revenue surge for Revolut, translating into a clean $1 billion in net profit. This financial windfall is backed by an expanding user base that now exceeds 50 million customers globally. The company’s expansion has been further accelerated by securing its highly anticipated U.K. banking license, enabling it to offer full-scale banking services across more than 30 countries.
Solidifying Dominance in European Tech
Should the deal close at the targeted $65 billion mark, it would represent a massive leap from the $45 billion valuation Revolut achieved in 2024 through secondary market share sales. This milestone would firmly cement the company’s position as one of the most valuable and dominant technology firms in Europe. When reached for comment regarding the ongoing funding talks, Revolut representatives declined to provide a statement.
