London-based crypto startup Neverless, founded by three former executives from fintech giant Revolut, has launched a new trading platform specifically designed to make purchasing low-cap tokens and volatile meme coins effortless for retail investors.

Meet the Revolut Veterans Behind Neverless

The venture is spearheaded by a highly experienced trio of former Revolut executives. Phuc To previously served as Revolut’s global head of product, leading the firm’s cryptocurrency initiatives in 2021. Joining him is Mikael Peydayesh, who managed core payments and premium subscription plans at the fintech giant. The third co-founder, Arthur Johanet, directed card payments before transitioning to lead Revolut’s dedicated crypto division.

While mainstream crypto exchanges have successfully lowered the barrier to entry for major digital assets, the founders recognized that the onboarding process remains unnecessarily complex. This shared realization prompted them to build a more streamlined, user-friendly alternative.

Democratizing Access to Small-Cap and Meme Coins

While most casual traders are familiar with Dogecoin, Neverless opens the door to a vast ecosystem of lesser-known digital assets. The mobile application supports more than 400 crypto tokens, allowing users to make instant purchases using familiar payment methods like Apple Pay and Google Pay. Crucially, the platform prioritizes access to low-cap and highly niche tokens that are typically difficult for average retail investors to acquire.

Overcoming the Challenges of Low-Volume Trading

Acquiring small-cap tokens usually requires navigating obscure centralized exchanges or interacting with complex decentralized exchanges (DEXs). For non-technical users, understanding decentralized applications (dApps) and managing external Web3 wallets can be a daunting task.

Furthermore, low-volume tokens suffer from significant price discrepancies across different platforms, leading to wide bid-ask spreads. To solve this, Neverless utilizes an intelligent routing system that automatically directs trades to the optimal liquidity pools, ensuring users always receive the most competitive market prices.

A Low-Fee Model with High-Yield Monetization

Hidden fees are a persistent pain point for retail crypto investors. While experienced traders often seek out advanced platforms to minimize costs, major consumer-facing exchanges frequently levy steep markups on instant buy-and-sell orders.

Neverless addresses this by offering completely free deposits and trades when using bank transfers, blockchain networks, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. The platform only introduces a 1% processing fee on Apple Pay and Google Pay transactions that exceed $1,000, though this fee structure may evolve as the user base expands.

To generate revenue without relying on heavy transaction fees, Neverless leverages several sophisticated financial mechanisms. The startup generates interest on major holdings—such as BTC, ETH, DOGE, SOL, XRP, and AVAX—and shares these returns with its users. Additionally, the platform offers automated trading strategies powered by high-frequency arbitrage and market-making algorithms, with Neverless retaining a percentage of the generated yields.

Securing Regulatory Approval and Venture Capital

Operating within a strict regulatory framework is central to the startup’s strategy. Neverless has secured a MiFID license, establishing itself as a fully regulated financial institution in Europe. This positioning ensures the company is fully prepared to comply with the upcoming Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulations as they take effect.

The company’s vision has already attracted significant venture backing. Earlier this year, Neverless secured $6.7 million in a seed funding round. The round was co-led by Lakestar and Connect Ventures, with additional participation from Nordstar, Chad West, Dan Westgarth, Eamon Jubbawy, Xiao-Xiao, and David Chreng.
