Revolut Valuation Soars to $75B in Massive New Share Sale
British fintech giant Revolut secured a staggering $75 billion valuation on Monday following a successful secondary share sale backed by major global investors, cementing its position as one of Europe’s most valuable private tech companies.
High-Profile Backers Fuel Revolut’s Historic Valuation
The landmark transaction was led by prominent investment firms Coatue, Greenoaks, Dragoneer, and Fidelity. A prestigious group of participating investors also joined the round, including Nvidia’s NVentures, Andreessen Horowitz, Franklin Templeton, and several other backers advised by T. Rowe Price Associates.
While Revolut did not disclose the exact amount of capital raised during this secondary market transaction, the deal successfully enabled current employees to cash out their equity. This new $75 billion figure represents a massive leap from the company’s previous post-money valuation of $48 billion recorded in August 2025. To date, the fintech disruptor has accumulated a total of $2.89 billion in venture capital funding, according to data from PitchBook.
Aggressive Global Expansion and Regulatory Milestones
Established in 2015, Revolut has evolved from a simple travel card into a financial powerhouse offering multi-currency accounts, international peer-to-peer transfers, cryptocurrency trading, insurance, and wealth management services. This newly unlocked liquidity arrives as the company aggressively deploys capital to scale its international footprint.
Currently, Revolut is awaiting final regulatory approval to secure a full banking license in its home market of the United Kingdom. However, the company already holds a banking license in the European Union and actively services customers in Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Brazil, and the United States. Furthering its global reach, the neobank entered the Indian market in October, secured a banking license in Mexico, and is on track to launch operations in Colombia by 2026. Future expansion roadmaps also include launches in Argentina, an entry into the African continent starting with South Africa, and an in-principle payments license in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Stellar Financial Performance and Crypto Growth
The valuation surge is backed by robust financial metrics. In 2024, Revolut’s total revenue surged by 72% to reach $4 billion, with the company reporting that it achieved an annualized revenue run rate of $1 billion this year. According to its latest annual report, the digital bank posted a record net profit of $1 billion (£790 million) in 2024. A significant driver of this growth was its dedicated crypto trading platform, Revolut X—housed under its Wealth division—which saw its revenue skyrocket by 298% to $647 million in 2024, up from $158 million the previous year.
Ambitious Targets for Global Dominance
Looking ahead, the company has established grand ambitions to scale its ecosystem, targeting 100 million customers by mid-2027 and plans to penetrate more than 30 new international markets by 2030.
“This milestone reflects the remarkable progress we have made in the last twelve months towards our vision of building the first truly global bank, serving 100 million customers across 100 countries,” stated Nik Storonsky, CEO and co-founder of Revolut.
