Bengaluru-based on-demand home-help startup Snabbit has secured $30 million in a new Series C funding round, doubling its valuation to $180 million in just five months as Indian urban households rapidly adopt instant convenience services.

Snabbit Secures $30M Series C Funding

The all-equity Series C round represents Snabbit’s third successful fundraising effort in the last nine months. Led by Bertelsmann India Investments, the round also saw strong participation from existing institutional backers, including Lightspeed, Elevation Capital, and Nexus Venture Partners. This latest capital infusion brings the startup’s total funding raised to date to $55 million, up from an $80 million valuation just five months ago.

Explosive Growth and Hyperlocal Operations

This fresh capital injection follows an unprecedented surge in platform activity. Snabbit has scaled rapidly from facilitating roughly 1,000 daily jobs in May to processing over 10,000 daily bookings. In October alone, the company crossed a milestone of 300,000 total orders, according to founder and CEO Aayush Agarwal.

Founded in 2024, Snabbit addresses the daily chores of urban households by offering cleaning, dishwashing, laundry, and kitchen preparation services. The startup relies on a 100% women-led fleet of 5,000 trained experts. Operating through a dense, hyperlocal network of workers stationed near residential hubs, Snabbit promises to deliver domestic help to a customer’s doorstep within 10 minutes of booking.

Currently, Snabbit operates across 40 distinct micro-markets in five major metropolitan areas: Mumbai, Bengaluru, Gurugram, Noida, and Pune. The company plans to deepen its penetration in these regions while preparing to launch services in Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, and Calcutta in the near future.

Disrupting Traditional House-Help Models

Snabbit’s customer base has expanded from 25,000 users in May to over 300,000, with projections to add another 100,000 users next month. The core demographic consists of working professionals and bachelors aged between 30 and 40 years.

Many of these customers prefer flexible, ad hoc services over hiring full-time, live-in domestic help. Agarwal noted that Snabbit is focusing on correcting structural inefficiencies in the traditional market rather than simply transitioning offline habits to an online portal.

The startup maintains a customer retention rate of 30% to 35% and expects to hit an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of $11 million this month. Customer acquisition costs (CAC) remain highly efficient, sitting well below ₹500 (approximately $6).

Snabbit prices its services at roughly ₹150 ($2) per hour, yielding an average transaction value of ₹240 ($3). Workers on the platform earn monthly wages between ₹25,000 and ₹30,000 ($284 to $340), depending on hours logged. To optimize worker efficiency, the company reduced the average walking distance between consecutive jobs from 300 meters to 250 meters, maximizing active working hours.

Winning the Hyperlocal Battle Against Giants

The quick-commerce approach to home services is becoming a highly competitive space in India. Industry pioneer Urban Company recently announced plans to double down on instant home services to defend its market share against emerging startups like Broomees, Pronto, and Snabbit.

However, Snabbit remains confident in its localized approach. Agarwal emphasized that hyperlocal businesses are won micro-market by micro-market, rather than through broad national campaigns. He stated that Snabbit holds the lead in shared micro-markets due to a deliberate strategy of building operational depth over geographical breadth.

With the newly acquired Series C capital, Snabbit intends to consolidate its current market footprint and expand its service portfolio into high-frequency household segments, including cooking, child care, and elder care.
