Atlanta-based e-commerce logistics powerhouse Stord secured a massive $250 million funding round, which it announced on Tuesday, doubling its valuation to $3 billion as it scales its AI-driven fulfillment network to challenge Amazon.
A Powerhouse Coalition of Backers
The latest funding injection was led by Strike Capital, with significant participation from a heavyweight roster of investors including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Franklin Templeton, Baillie Gifford, G Squared, and Bond. This capital influx underscores deep investor confidence in Stord’s ability to disrupt the traditional supply chain landscape.
From Georgia Tech Dorm to $3 Billion Unicorn
Stord’s rapid ascent began in 2015 when co-founders Sean Henry (CEO) and Jacob Boudreau (CTO) launched the company while still students at Georgia Tech. The young entrepreneurs successfully navigated the hyper-growth pandemic era, catapulting the startup to its initial unicorn status in 2021.
Weathering the VC Winter
Unlike many tech peers that faltered during the subsequent venture capital downturn, Stord demonstrated remarkable resilience. In 2025, the startup secured a $200 million mega-round—also led by Strike Capital—which valued the company at $1.5 billion. With this latest $250 million round, Stord’s total funding raised to date has reached approximately $775 million.

Stord positions itself as the ultimate “anti-Amazon” alternative, offering brands a seamless combination of physical warehousing networks and advanced inventory management software. This model allows independent brands to achieve enterprise-level delivery speeds without sacrificing direct ownership of their customer relationships.
